Student Community Engagement Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Student Community Engagement Specialist to lead student engagement, community growth, and real-world events that connect students to the platform.

  • Build and Grow Your College's Community: Develop and execute strategies to grow your college's subreddit into a hub for student life, from academic advice to cultural trends, making it a go-to space for students.
  • Organise Events: Plan and host at least one event per month, such as meetups, AMAs, and creative activations that make the platform an extension of the student experience.
  • Bring Students Onboard: Explain the value of the platform, onboard new users, and help students discover relevant communities.
  • Provide Feedback and Insights: Share feedback and insights with the team on student needs while tracking community growth, engagement, and the impact of on-campus events.
Qualifications/Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to articulate complex ideas and engage with diverse groups of students.
  • Leadership Experience: Previous experience leading teams or projects, particularly in a student-led environment.
  • Community Building Expertise: A deep understanding of how online communities work and the ability to foster engagement and growth.
  • Creativity and Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions to challenges.
