About the role

Are you someone who loves solving problems, thinking ahead, and helping teams stay on track? We're looking for a Risk Associate to join our team and support the university's efforts to manage risks and make smart, informed decisions.

What you'll be doing

  • Helping departments identify and assess risks that could impact their work
  • Keeping our risk registers and treatment plans up to date
  • Putting together reports, presentations, and summaries for leadership
  • Assisting in trainings, workshops, and discussions to raise risk awareness
  • Researching new and emerging risks, trends and best practices.
  • Following up on action plans to make sure things get done
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in risk management

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Internal Audit, Business, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in risk, compliance, audit, or business operations
  • Strong critical thinking and communication skills
  • Someone who's organized, detail-oriented and adaptable
  • Proficient in using data analysis tools and software, such as Excel, PowerPoint, and risk management software
  • A team player who can work effectively
  • Bonus points if you're CPA, CIA or have experience in ERM
