Job Overview

You will provide level 1 and 2 desktop support to customers and team members. Your key responsibilities include providing telephone and face-to-face technical assistance, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring hardware/software installations align with our service standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical assistance to users regarding desktop issues via phone and in-person support.
  • Follow established procedures to respond to requests for assistance, enabling users to resolve their problems independently.
  • Maintain detailed records of faults with resolution and contact details.
  • Accurately document all time spent on shift.
  • Ensure all hardware/software installations and routine upgrades meet our service standards.
  • Deliver a professional service by updating requests regularly and providing realistic resolution times.
  • Serve as an interface between users and service providers, supplying diagnostic information according to procedures.
  • Elevate unresolved technical queries to Network Engineers in accordance with established protocols.
  • Participate in ongoing team training to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant IT experience combined with relevant tertiary qualifications.
  • Strong technical knowledge of desktop hardware and both standard and custom software.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent time management and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize issues effectively.
  • Customer-centric approach.
  • Sound understanding of our Standard Operating Environment (SOE)
  • Excellent English language proficiency, written and verbal.
