Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sous Chef to join our Viking's Group of Companies' kitchen operations team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, a strong work ethic, and a keen eye for detail.
Main Responsibilities
- Supervise kitchen operations to ensure adherence to company policies and public health regulations.
- Assist in scheduling and rostering of staff, monitoring and reporting on any issues that may arise.
- Monitor and record staff attendance and leave, preparing reports as required.
- Coordinate and implement training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
- Participate in menu planning and development, contributing ideas and suggestions for new dishes.
- Conduct regular inspections of the kitchen, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as necessary.
Reporting Line
The Sous Chef will report directly to the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef, overseeing a team of CDPs, Commis, and Stewards.
