About the Role

This leadership position oversees and manages the central ordering processes within a Fit-Out Services department.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure that all ordering activities are executed effectively and align with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Foster a strong customer service ethos within the central ordering team by demonstrating excellence in customer service personally and coaching and mentoring team members to consistently deliver a customer-focused experience.
  • Lead the central ordering team in the purchasing of materials and services, ensuring that all orders are placed accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to project timelines.
  • Track performance and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure that materials are available when needed without overstocking, implementing inventory management best practices to minimize waste and optimize storage space.
  • Continuously assess and improve ordering processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs, implementing new technologies and systems as necessary.
  • Work closely with centre delivery managers and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure that all ordering activities support project goals.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on ordering activities, supplier performance, and cost savings, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Ensure that all ordering activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field, preferably within the construction or fit-out industry.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing a team, with strong leadership skills to motivate and develop team members.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and inventory management systems.
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
