Collections Lead Job Summary

Our company is seeking a skilled and experienced Collections Lead to manage our end-to-end collections efforts for service and installation invoices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive collections strategy to optimize cash flow and reduce days sales outstanding (DSO).
  • Manage a high-volume call center environment, making outbound calls to customers to collect payments and negotiate payment plans.
  • Utilize expertise in collections terminology and levers to resolve disputes and short-pays, and escalate complex issues to senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including dispatch, service, install, and accounting, to resolve ticket discrepancies and billing errors.
  • Produce regular dashboards and reporting to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements:
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in high-volume B2C/B2B collections, preferably in the HVAC or home-services industry.
  • Fluent in collections terminology and levers, including A/R aging, DSO, RPC/PTP, dunning cadence, payment plans, short-pay, credit memos, chargebacks/disputes, settlements, escalations, lien/notice options.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a clear and neutral American accent.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, prioritize tasks to meet daily cash goals, and present concise slides to executive-level stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with RingCentral and CRM/ERP systems, with a strong understanding of field-service workflows and technical processes.
