Senior Medical Underwriter

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Medical Underwriter to join our team. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will be responsible for making informed decisions on medical applications and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support in appraisal, approval, and issuance of medical and non-medical applications within the authority limit across all product lines and distribution channels.
  • Underwriting Expertise: Supply to the development of next generation underwriting techniques and processes through AI and its various applications.
  • Partnership Activities: Participate in partnership activities to integrate UW processes when and where it is required.
  • Customer-Centric Processes: Establish customer-centric UW processes to improve customer experience.
  • Business Development: Give to business development by incorporating modern analytics (statistics, data storytelling, data science, etc) to UW data.
  • Emerging Technology: Adapt emerging technology/ies and innovations to continuously improve UW processes.
  • Collaboration: Inter-department and cross-border collaboration activities through various techniques including face-to-face, digital, and human centered design thinking.
  • New Business Process: In the development of customer-centric New Business processes.
  • Data Analytics: Initiatives to embed modern data analytics in making UW a contributor to business development.
  • Innovation: Initiatives to adopt emerging technology/ies and innovations to modernize and progress UW techniques and processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's Degree (preferably with medical background)
  • Communication Skills: Very good in oral and written communication
  • Interpersonal Skills: Possess good interpersonal skills
  • Professional Certifications: Passed LOMA 280, LOMA 290
  • Underwriting Course: Passed LOMA Underwriting course
