Our organization is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to assume a strategic and tactical role in their high-performing accounting team.

This key position requires someone who can lead the month-end close process, analyze general ledger accounts, and provide insights on significant variances.

Responsibilities
  • Month-End Close Process: The ideal candidate will oversee the creation of all journal entries, accruals, and adjustments, ensuring timely and accurate posting.
  • General Ledger Analysis: They will analyze general ledger accounts and provide insights on significant variances, supporting management with variance analysis and commentary on financial trends and results.
  • Internal Financial Reports: The successful candidate will assist in preparing internal financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annual) and support management with variance analysis and commentary on financial trends and results.
  • Reconciliation: They will reconcile all balance sheet accounts (e.g., cash, AR, AP, fixed assets, prepaids, accrued expenses) in FloQast, ensuring resolution of discrepancies and maintaining data integrity.
  • Tax Compliance: The candidate will ensure timely and accurate preparation and filing of all required tax forms, including sales and use tax, business licenses, and annual reports, working with external tax advisors to manage federal, state, and local tax filings.
  • Audit Support: They will prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation for external audits, ensuring compliance with company policies, U.S. GAAP, and other relevant regulations.
  • Process Improvement: The ideal candidate will identify and lead initiatives to streamline and automate accounting processes, collaborating with internal stakeholders to improve workflows and reporting capabilities, and assisting with ERP system optimization and accounting procedures documentation.
