Role Overview

This is a strategic and execution-heavy role ideal for someone who thrives in a high-autonomy environment, loves turning data into insight, and can partner closely with leadership.

You will lead all aspects of financial planning and analysis, deliver financial reporting and forecasts, and ensure accounting data flows accurately through NetSuite and related systems. Your work will directly support decision-making and operational excellence across our portfolio of clients and internal business units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes to inform business decisions.
  • Develop monthly financial reports with variance analysis against budget/forecast, providing actionable insights for stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain operating models and dashboards (Excel and Power BI experience a plus) to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
  • Partner with business leaders to evaluate the financial impact of initiatives and strategies.
Accounting Support (NetSuite)
  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end close in NetSuite, collaborating with accounting staff to meet deadlines.
  • Review journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations to maintain accounting accuracy.
  • Help optimize NetSuite structure and reporting hierarchies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Assist with setup and mapping of new accounts or departments within NetSuite.
Operational Finance
  • Support cash flow forecasting and treasury planning to manage liquidity and risk.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs), such as headcount, utilization, and financial metrics, to measure business performance.
  • Prepare ad hoc financial models to support pricing, hiring, or strategic decisions, leveraging advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills.
Reporting & Audit Support
  • Maintain internal reporting packages for leadership and investors, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of financial information.
  • Provide financial data and analysis for external audits or tax filings, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Ensure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal controls to maintain accounting integrity.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 7 years of finance/accounting experience, with at least 2 years in financial planning and analysis.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP accounting and financial operations principles.
  • 2+ years of experience using NetSuite for accounting and reporting, with a focus on process optimization and efficiency.
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills, including comfort building complex financial models.
  • Experience supporting U.S.-based companies, with a strong understanding of local market conditions and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and communicate effectively with senior executives.
  • Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on professional financial communication.
  • Availability to work full-time, aligned with U.S. Central Standard Time (CST).
Preferred Qualifications
  • CPA or equivalent accounting certification, demonstrating expertise in accounting principles and practices.
  • Experience with budgeting tools and processes, including financial planning and analysis software.
  • Prior work experience in consulting, SaaS, or offshore services environments, with a focus on financial planning and analysis.
  • Familiarity with Power BI, leveraging its capabilities to enhance financial reporting and analysis.
