Job Title: Transportation Coordinator

We are seeking a skilled and organized Transportation Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and supporting customer requirements.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work well under pressure. They will also be proficient in Microsoft Excel and have experience with data entry and coordination tasks.

In this position, you will:

  • Monitor daily driving logs to ensure compliance with DOT regulations
  • Serve as a reliable point of contact for drivers and management
  • Assist Deputy Terminal Manager in ensuring truck and driver readiness
  • Develop daily plans to balance drivers' health and safety with customer requirements
  • C coordinate and manage the most efficient loads
  • Negotiate rates directly with vendors and customers
  • Identify special needs of shipments and assist drivers in obtaining necessary documents

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school degree or equivalent; a logistics or transportation degree is preferred
  • Fluency in English and Spanish is preferred
  • Familiarity with DOT and OSHA compliance regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Quick and thorough data entry/input background
