Financial Administrator

**Job Summary:**
The Financial Administrator is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the school, ensuring efficient management and accurate record-keeping. This role involves supervision of accounting personnel, maintenance staff, and security personnel.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Implementing financial policies and disseminating them to all personnel, suppliers, and service providers.
- Administering financial resources efficiently and maintaining accurate records.
- Supervising the maintenance of books of accounts and taking custody of important business documents.
- Preparing and submitting financial statements and reports as required by the RCBNES Auditor, Vice Director for Finance, Superintendent-Director, and government agencies.
- Maintaining computerized accounting systems and supervising internal controls over purchases, disbursements, revenues, inventories, acquisitions, disposal, and movement of physical assets.
- Establishing an effective system for assessing fees, payment, and issuing examination permits.
- Recommending salaries and wages for employees in coordination with the Principal and forwarding these recommendations to the Superintendent-Director for approval.
- Establishing a system for requisitioning and supervising the release of loans approved by the Superintendent-Director.
- Supervising the preparation and signing of reports and payments of the school's obligations to government and non-government institutions.
- Verifying vouchers and forwarding them for verification by the Vice Director for Finance and approval by the Superintendent-Director for disbursements.
- Preparing the consolidated annual budget for the Board of Trustees' approval and providing periodic updates on budget performance.
- Organizing budget hearings with relevant departments.
- Augmenting school funds through income-generating projects.
- Leading personnel in the Finance Office and ensuring they discharge their duties faithfully and accurately.
- Reviewing and checking discounts, scholarships, and finance services.
- Evaluating the effectiveness of implementing existing finance policies, systems, and procedures and suggesting possible changes or innovations.
- Staying up-to-date on laws and government directives related to labor, tax, and financial matters.
- In coordination with the Principal, recommending major improvements and repairs to the physical plant.
- Making recommendations on fund management and investment to the Superintendent-Director in accordance with the Board of Trustees' directives and expert advice.
- Managing payroll and other disbursements related to school employees and properly accounting for these transactions.
- Providing suitable supplies and equipment within budget limitations for teaching and service departments.
- Ensuring prompt and accurate dissemination of students' account statements.
- Being responsible for all physical properties belonging to the school and maintaining an accurate inventory thereof.
- Securing funds, securities, deeds, instruments, and valuable properties in a safe place.
