Operations Supervisor Role Overview

The Operations Supervisor plays a pivotal role in the daily activities of their team, ensuring that work assignments are fair and accounts receive timely follow-up. They are responsible for monitoring and overseeing the performance of their team members, fostering a productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and coordinate follow-up activities to ensure equitable work assignments and timely account follow-up.
  • Perform weekly quality assurance review of team's work, providing constructive feedback to improve performance.
  • Review staff productivity reports on a regular basis, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Provide weekly staff productivity updates to the analytics team.
  • Offer assistance and resolution to external and internal client inquiries, ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs as required, promoting transparency and accountability.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry-related issues and regulations, applying this knowledge to improve team performance.
  • Identify and resolve issues collaboratively with management, driving process improvements.
  • Provide training, coaching, and feedback to team members, promoting professional growth and development.
  • Ensure confidentiality at all times, adhering to strict data protection protocols.
  • Monitor team attendance and PTO usage, maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
  • Perform other duties assigned by management, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
Essential Qualifications:
  • A medical allied background or graduate degree.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a hospital business office setting or similar environment.
  • Experience in authorization, hospital/facility billing, and home infusion billing.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
  • Must be reliable, responsible, goal-oriented, and flexible, with excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong verbal and written skills for effective communication and documentation.
