Job Summary

The Business Systems Analyst III is responsible for collaborating with the business system owners and users to capture the right business requests and accurately translating them into specifications that aid design, coding, and testing of complex software applications.

This role performs a liaison function between the business users, software engineers, and QA analysts for implementing software solutions in order to accurately realize business goals. The incumbent will help populate the roadmap, drive prioritization of the backlog, and ensure stories are detailed enough for development to be planned.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to drive the roadmap and prioritize initiatives.
  • Capture all stakeholder requests and translate them into system specifications including functional, non-functional, user interface, reports, and external interface specifications.
  • Work with software engineers to ensure engineering realization aligns with the desired functionality in the roadmap.
  • Participate in Quality Assurance testing as the IT workload requires.
  • Provide guidance to stakeholders on feasible functionality and delivery sequence.
  • Proactively track and communicate requirements risks, devising methods to mitigate them.
  • Liaise with other project areas to coordinate interdependencies and resolve issues.
  • Analyze, map, and communicate current and future state business processes.
  • Support stakeholders in resolving in-depth user questions and issues.
  • Maintain knowledge of new technology and business analysis standards and practices.
