Head of Finance Job Description

The Head of Finance plays a pivotal role in maintaining the financial stability and growth of an organization. This position involves overseeing various financial aspects, including preparing and presenting financial reports, identifying areas for improvement, and collaborating with department heads to achieve business objectives.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Create strategic plans for the finance department that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Manage all financial activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Oversee financial risk management, assessing potential risks and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with department heads to develop and implement budget plans, capital expenditure strategies, and recruitment plans.
  • Develop and execute investment strategies, monitoring and adjusting for risk as needed.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with government regulations.
  • Analyze company spending and revenue patterns, identifying areas for cost reduction and process improvements.
  • Explore new commercial models to improve business profitability.
  • Provide financial data for business pitches and client meetings.
  • Conduct and cooperate with internal and external financial audits.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working in marketing or advertising is preferred.
  • Experience working with 3rd party partner accounting agencies is desirable.
  • A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; a CPA certification is highly valued.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, practices, and regulations in the advertising industry.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing financial strategies that drive business growth and profitability.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
