Job Profile

The role of the Assistant Bid Writer supports the bid team in crafting high-quality proposals tailored to win contracts.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Content Creation:
    • Draft and edit responses to Invitations to Tender
    • Tailor bid content to address client needs and highlight company strengths
  • Collaboration:
    • Liaise with colleagues across departments for proposal information
    • Incorporate stakeholder feedback into bid documentation
  • Compliance and Quality Control:
    • Proofread bid documents for accuracy and compliance
    • Ensure proposals meet corporate branding and quality standards
  • Research and Information Gathering:
    • Conduct market and client research for tender responses
    • Maintain a database of prior bids for future use
  • Project Coordination:
    • Track and report on bid progress against timelines
    • Support maintenance of a bid calendar, ensuring submission deadlines
Key Qualifications:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines and work under pressure
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and bid management tools
  • Experience or strong knowledge in bid writing, marketing, or project planning
