Job Title

A patient advocate role is available to support individuals in navigating the complexities of healthcare.

About the Position

This position involves enrolling patients in philanthropic aid programs, managing post-enrollment work, and reviewing patient enrollments for accuracy. The patient advocate will also escalate and appeal denials, order and receive medication orders, and coordinate deliveries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enroll patients in financial assistance programs.
  • Effectively manage post-enrollment tasks such as submitting claims or ordering medications.
  • Review patient enrollments for accuracy and completeness.
  • Escalate and appeal patient assistance denials.
  • Coordinate medication deliveries to designated pharmacies.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience working in a high-performance environment, hands-on experience in healthcare, and strong communication skills. Proficiency in computer skills and attention to detail are also essential.

Additional Information

The patient advocate will work remotely, requiring a distraction-free office environment that is HIPAA-compliant. A minimum upload speed of 2 Mbps and a download speed of 5 Mbps are necessary for maintaining an uninterrupted internet connection.

Work Environment

Working wirelessly is prohibited. A modem or router must be located in the same room as the workspace or an Ethernet cord long enough to reach the workspace must be used.
