Job Title: Accountant Specialist

This role is ideal for a meticulous and organized individual who excels in financial record-keeping, data analysis, and process improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using QuickBooks Online (QBO), including accounts payable and receivable transactions, bank reconciliations, and general ledger management.
  • Retail Accounting Support: Provide support with retail-specific bookkeeping needs, including inventory tracking, cost-of-goods-sold (COGS) allocations, and point-of-sale (POS) system integration.
  • Bill.com and Payroll Assistance: Utilize Bill.com to process vendor payments efficiently and assist with payroll administration in coordination with internal systems and external providers.
  • Reporting and Financial Analysis: Assist in generating financial reports such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow summaries, and help identify trends and areas for cost optimization or revenue improvement.
  • Technology and Automation: Contribute to automating workflows using QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Excel, or other integrated tools and recommend improvements to streamline bookkeeping operations.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience in a retail or e-commerce setting.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and experience using Bill.com is required.
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Excel and other accounting tools, and able to learn new technology quickly.
