Job Title: Accounting Specialist

We are seeking an experienced accounting specialist to join our team. As an integral part of our organization, this role will be responsible for managing day-to-day record keeping, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and/or invoicing.

This position requires a strong attention to detail, multitasking, and prioritization skills. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in accounting, proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), and familiarity with full-cycle bookkeeping and cloud-based bookkeeping software (QBO, XERO).

  • About the Role: This is a remote work position that requires handling full-cycle bookkeeping and providing valuable insights to stakeholders.
  • Responsibilities:
  1. Manage day-to-day record keeping for management reporting and analytical reports
  2. Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, and/or invoicing
  3. Assist in client planning, budgeting, and forecasting
  4. Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements, month-end close processes, journal entries, monthly reconciliations, and financial reporting
  5. Act as the firm's in-house expert on internal processes, documenting what is learned and assisting in the development of controls and improvements
  6. Work directly with clients to obtain documentation and other information, ensuring time is scheduled and tracked, and all client deliverables are met
Requirements:
  • Graduate of Accounting/Finance/Business/Bookkeeping or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Accounting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Familiarity with full cycle bookkeeping and cloud-based bookkeeping software (QBO, XERO)
  • Strong people skills, team-player mindset, and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail, multitask, and prioritize tasks
