Accounting Specialist Role

We are seeking a highly skilled accounting specialist to join our team. As an accounting specialist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting-related functions including tax preparation, bookkeeping, and financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tax Preparation: Prepare personal and business tax returns, including income tax returns, sales tax returns, and other tax filings.
  • Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Client Communication: Communicate with clients to obtain necessary information and provide them with timely and accurate financial information.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance-related field.
  • Proficient in tax and accounting software/tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, QuickBooks, CCH Access/ProFX Tax, Intelliconnect Tax Research, Intelliforms, Tax Tools, CFS Payroll, Practice Management Time Entry, Accounting Research, PFX Tax Planning, Proseries Tax Planner, CCH Engagement External Bookkeeper.
  • Licensed as a certified public accountant is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Aptitude in data management, analytics, and reporting preparation.
  • Ability to function in an autonomous environment—independent worker, self-directed.
