As a Business Development Consultant, you will represent the organization in sales efforts to promote its services to Registered Investment Advisors. This position is responsible for acquiring new clients or growing existing clients' revenue, depending on the territory. Additionally, this role will collaborate with partners and internal employees on sales efforts.
Candidates must reside in the designated territory: CT, DE, MD, MA, NJ, NY, PA, or RI.
Main Job Tasks:- Develop and implement territory sales plans to increase sales and retention of assets.
- Represent the organization and its products to advisors knowledgeably and effectively.
- Build relationships with RIA firms and their advisors through onsite visits and demonstrations.
- Provide excellent customer service to RIA firms and their advisors.
- Maintain critical contact relationships with firms involved in distribution to the same market.
- Monitor and analyze daily/weekly/quarterly sales goals and activity reports.
Key qualifications for this role include:
- Excellent knowledge of financial services offerings and company policies.
- Demonstrated ability to interact with high-level decision-makers.
- Leadership skills to provide a positive work environment.
- Strong sales skills required: negotiation, persuasion, up-selling, closing, follow-up, relationship building, and networking.
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
- Obtain Orion Industry Certification (Note: The actual certification may vary based on the job requirements).
- Series 65 license.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a field-based territory sales position selling financial services offerings to Registered Investment Advisors.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience building and maintaining a customer account base.
The successful candidate must be a resident of the designated NE territory.
