
Invoicing Specialist

This role is pivotal in generating financial invoices to charge customers for the cost of services and offerings. Collaboration with various teams is necessary to provide tailored documentation and act as a liaison to raise customer requirements.
This position supports the Sales and Marketing Operations Team by accurately recognizing revenue and related costs in a timely manner, guided by corporate financial policies, accounting instructions, and regulatory guidelines.
Key Responsibilities- Create SAP financial invoices for accounts covered by contracts.
- Prepare final required customer supporting documentation that fits specific customer needs.
- Work with respective teams to accommodate changes in customer requirements and update processes accordingly.
- Monitor assigned account status in billing process to ensure timely delivery based on pre-agreed delivery date with customer.
- Deliver SAP invoice and supporting documents to customer by electronic mail or forwards to Customer Operations teams responsible for final delivery.
- Recognize revenue of respective accounts handled primarily through invoicing process or creation/submission of accounting journal entries when invoicing cannot be executed for operational reasons.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine revenue recognition timing, criteria, and amount accuracy.
- Gather requirements necessary to meet revenue criteria before final recognition.
- Coordinate with teams to determine and book cost component of recognized revenue.
- Work with internal audit to maintain established controls for revenue recognition.
- Serve as customer's secondary point of contact to help raise concerns related to service billings and related matters.
- Coordinate with teams to enable faster resolution of billing concerns.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to help clean and clear customer receivable ledgers and resolve issues impacting customers.
Knowledge Base for Accuracy and Effectiveness:
- Organizational structure knowledge of sales and marketing team in supported geography.
- Knowledge of organizational structure of each dedicated team.
- Familiarity with business model and offerings.
- Issue escalation processes knowledge.
Financial and Operational Competence:
- Intermediate accounting skills.
- International Accounting Standards understanding.
- ERP functionalities; working knowledge of SAP financial module is an asset.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) skills.
