Role Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned finance leader to join our team. As the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for designing and scaling the financial foundation of our rapidly expanding portfolio of YouTube-first brands.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly skilled finance professional who can thrive at the intersection of numbers and strategy. You will own the financial clarity that powers bold creative bets, sharp business decisions, and sustainable growth – while building and leading a lean, high-performing finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Finance & Revenue Operations:

  • Develop and maintain company-wide P&L forecasts, budgets, and runway management across all business units (YouTube, Merch, Brand, Patreon, IP).
  • Lead quarterly planning and revenue target-setting for each channel and product line.
  • Drive scenario modeling and ROI assessments on new projects, channel launches, product experiments, or talent partnerships.
  • Partner closely with brand leaders to shape monetization, pricing, and profitability strategies.

Business Opportunity Screening:

  • Assess new business and partnership proposals to help leadership make informed decisions.
  • Run diligence, surface risks, and evaluate opportunity costs of new ideas vs. doubling down on what's already working.

Efficiency, Tooling & Systems:

  • Implement automation and eliminate repetitive tasks to reduce manual overhead for Finance and the wider team.
  • Build out reporting infrastructure (dashboards, cash flow visibility, performance metrics) to provide clear, real-time insights across the company.

Team Leadership & Collaboration:

  • Manage and develop the Finance Manager and Bookkeeper, ensuring high performance, clarity of roles, and growth.
  • Collaborate closely with executive leadership, creative producers, and operations leads – becoming a trusted thought partner in strategic decisions.
Requirements:
  • Finance operator with over 7 years of experience, ideally within startups, media, or consumer brands (background in YouTube or digital media is a strong advantage).
  • Skilled at financial modeling, scenario planning, and risk assessment, with the ability to translate spreadsheets into actionable strategy
  • Works with speed and precision, balancing urgency in decision-making with accuracy in execution
  • Thrives in fast-changing environments, embraces ambiguity, and takes on diverse responsibilities while maintaining efficiency
  • Comfortable with challenging assumptions, asking tough questions, and raising concerns when necessary to safeguard the business
  • Adept at simplifying complex financial information into clear, practical insights for non-finance stakeholders
