We are looking for a seasoned finance professional to lead our day-to-day financial operations.

Job Description
  • Lead the month-end close process, ensuring timely preparation of financial reports
  • Manage and mentor a team of approximately 7 staff members
  • Ensure financial reporting and accounting practices comply with GAAP
Key Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with project managers and accountants on project status reviews, project margin analysis, and billing support
  2. Oversee and support the maintenance of our accounting system, including report development, system optimization, and ensuring the accuracy of the general ledger
  3. Review bi-weekly payroll for accuracy; resolve complex payroll issues, approve the monthly payroll reconciliation & journals
  4. Provide financial reports for bank loan covenant purposes, ad-hoc audits, client requests and government compliance reviews
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • Minimum 7 years of experience at the controller level in professional services or project-based firm
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP and project accounting (minimum 5 years of experience)
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail
  • Experience supervising and mentoring an accounting team of all experience levels
