Job Role

As a mortgage specialist, you will have a significant impact on shaping mortgage journeys with precision and care by managing pre-credit loan processing tasks including retention pricing, valuations, data entry, and post-settlement support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct retention pricing of existing client book
  • Prepare servicing calculators for brokers
  • Send welcome emails and initial data requests to new clients
  • Enter data for new clients and update existing client records
  • Request, index, and organize supporting documents, identifying missing items
  • Request pricing discounts from lenders and order valuations
  • Organize property reports and prepare broker tools like strategy sheets and loan options maps
  • Draft lender application notes and assist with lender option prep
  • Call lenders for updates and assist with post-settlement loan account summaries
  • Prepare detailed post-settlement breakdowns for clients
  • Assist in preparing and managing discharge forms for settlements
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Australian mortgage loan processing (pre- or post-settlement)
  • Familiarity with pricing and valuation processes
  • Exposure to CRM platforms
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Resourceful, commercially minded, and eager to learn
  • Bachelor's or College Degree (any field)
  • A team player who learns quickly, communicates clearly, and follows through
  • Exercises sound judgment and takes ownership of tasks
