Remote Accounts Payable Specialist

Seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Remote Accounts Payable Specialist. This role is responsible for overseeing the entire accounts payable process, from invoice processing and payment to vendor management and reconciliation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Invoice Processing: Review invoices for accuracy and completeness, verify payments, and initiate payment processing.
  • Vendor Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, resolve payment discrepancies, and handle vendor inquiries.
  • Expense Reconciliation: Reconcile invoices with purchase orders and receipts to ensure accuracy.
  • Payment Processing: Coordinate payments to vendors, including checks, electronic transfers, and ACH payments.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare reports on accounts payable activities, including outstanding balances, cash flow projections, and aging reports.
  • Expense Tracking: Monitor and control company expenses by evaluating payment terms and negotiating discounts with vendors.
  • Problem Resolution: Identify and resolve issues related to accounts payable, such as disputes, late payments, or missing documentation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of Accounts Payable and/or General Accounting experience, or equivalent.
  • Strong verbal, written, and English communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
  • High accuracy in financial records and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, databases, and accounting software.
  • Industry-specific software knowledge, including Excel, pivot tables, and advanced formulas.
