**Job Opportunity: Publishing Assistant**

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized individual to serve as a right-hand collaborator to our founder, helping bring creative ideas to life and ensuring the smooth development and promotion of titles. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating book creation, collaborating with freelancers including illustrators and ghostwriters, and supporting the publishing process.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year experience in publishing, editorial support, or project coordination in a creative field (children's publishing is a plus), strong organizational and communication skills, experience collaborating with creatives such as illustrators and writers, a self-starter with a proactive and problem-solving mindset, and comfortable working independently in a startup environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage children's book development from concept to publication
  • Coordinate with freelancers including illustrators and ghostwriters
  • Monitor project timelines and ensure deadlines are met

Content Support:

  • Review and provide feedback on drafts
  • Organize and maintain book-related files and documentation

Marketing & Advertising Assistance:

  • Support promotional efforts including basic advertising and outreach
  • Help strategize and execute marketing campaigns across online platforms

Publishing Support:

  • Research best practices for self-publishing platforms
  • Assist in formatting and preparing manuscripts for publication
  • Keep track of royalties, sales, and promotional results as needed

Requirements:

  • Experience in publishing, editorial support, or project coordination
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Collaboration experience with creatives like illustrators and writers
  • Self-motivated and problem-solving mindset
  • Comfortable working independently
