Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Publishing Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and experience in publishing or editorial support.

This is a full-time position that involves coordinating book creation, collaborating with illustrators and ghostwriters, and supporting the marketing and publishing process. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for project coordination, content support, marketing assistance, and publishing support.

Responsibilities:
  • Project Coordination: Manage development timelines, coordinate with freelancers, and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Content Support: Review and provide feedback on drafts, organize files, and maintain documentation.
  • Marketing & Advertising Assistance: Support promotional efforts, prepare listings, and strategize marketing campaigns.
  • Publishing Support: Research best practices, assist in formatting manuscripts, and track royalties and sales.
RequirementsSkills and Qualifications:
  • At least 1 year of experience in publishing, editorial support, or project coordination.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience working with creatives and self-starters with a proactive mindset.
  • Comfortable working independently in a startup environment.
  • Familiarity with children's book content and trends is a plus.
