Job Opportunity

We are seeking a Publishing Assistant to join our team. As a key collaborator, you will help bring creative ideas to life and contribute to the successful development and promotion of our titles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Coordination: Assist in managing book creation from concept to publication; coordinate with illustrators, ghostwriters, and other freelancers; monitor project timelines and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Content Support: Review and provide feedback on drafts; organize and maintain book-related files and documentation.
  • Marketing & Advertising Assistance: Support promotional efforts including basic advertising, content preparation for listings, and outreach; help strategize and execute marketing campaigns across online platforms.
  • Publishing Support: Research best practices for self-publishing platforms; assist in formatting and preparing manuscripts for publication; track royalties, sales, and promotional results as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • A minimum of 1 year experience in publishing, editorial support, or project coordination in a creative field (children's publishing is an asset).
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience collaborating with creatives such as illustrators and writers.
  • A proactive problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently.
  • Familiarity with children's book content and trends is a plus.
  • Nice-to-have: Knowledge of publishing platforms like KDP or IngramSpark.
  • Basic graphic design tools or book formatting experience.
  • Background in marketing or social media promotion for creative products.
