Job Description

The Purchasing Analyst plays a pivotal role in the procurement process, ensuring seamless execution of orders and management of vendor relationships.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the vendor accreditation process, verifying completeness of due diligence, and conducting SCOUT risk assessments
  • Converting SAP PR-PO, issuing purchase orders to vendors, tracking order acknowledgments, and monitoring open POs for timely delivery
  • Approving or rejecting shopping cart requests based on corporate purchasing policies
  • Issuing requests for quotes (RFQs) for purchases up to 5T EUR, comparing quotes, and tracking savings in IST Tool
  • Verifying accuracy of submitted quotations against shopping carts and filing contracts in Prodogy
  • Creating new materials (MTO FG) by validating product groups and hierarchies, submitting material creation forms to Cost Accountants for selling prices, and coordinating with Material Masters for SAP material code creation
  • Arranging shipments and liaising with Logistics, customs brokers, and other relevant parties; communicating risks related to material availability with Plant Production (RM) or Sales teams (FG)
  • Entering Order and Demand Forecast figures into SAP BWP (PULSE)
  • Resolving blocked invoice issues to facilitate invoice and payment processing, attending meetings and inquiries from AP and Finance
  • Developing and reporting weekly, monthly, and ad hoc SLA, KPI, output performance metrics, and custom reports
Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean methodologies is advantageous
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in Sourcing, Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, and/or P2P functions
  • Ability to work collaboratively with project teams on process improvements, develop KPIs, and other quality measures
  • Facilitation skills to lead team meetings, share best practices, and actively participate in GBS committees
  • Experience working with international teams and understanding diverse cultures
  • Able to adapt to night shifts as needed
