Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accounting Professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional accounting services to a portfolio of clients.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy and a professional license. They will also have at least 3 years of experience in the related field, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.

The Senior Accounting Professional will be responsible for:

  • Preparing and reviewing personal income tax returns for individuals, including employees, business schedules, and rental properties.
  • Declaring income from all sources.
  • Inputting dividends, distributions, and associated franking credits.
  • Inputting allowable deductions.
  • Preparing business schedules and reconciling all income and expenses.
  • Preparing rental schedules, including depreciation schedules.
  • Preparing motor vehicle schedules.
  • Calculating capital gains on disposal of assets.
  • Prepared and reviewing financial statements, tax returns, and instalment activity statements and business activity statements for companies, trusts, partnerships, and superannuation funds.
  • Analysing ledger data and preparing reconciliations.
  • Preparing monthly management reports.

The successful candidate will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with clients via email.

Australian accounting experience is highly regarded, as is experience in modern cloud accounting software such as Xero, Xero Practice Manager, Sage HandiTax, and HandiLedger.
