Job Summary

The National Project Coordinator will be responsible for building the Project Management Unit (PMU), overseeing the timely delivery of project activities and outputs, and acting as the primary liaison between the project and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Support the UNIDO HQ Project Manager with preparation of annual project work plan and budgets.
  2. Oversee the effective delivery of project activities and outputs.
  3. Support the UNIDO HQ Project Manager with arrangements for mid-term review and terminal evaluation of the project.
  4. Provide UNIDO HQ Project Manager with drafts of regular reports to the donor.
  5. Act as the primary liaison between the project and government authorities, donors, project partners, and other stakeholders.
  6. Support the UNIDO HQ Project Manager in recruitment of project personnel and overseeing procurement of goods and services.

Requirements

  • Advanced university degree in Engineering/Science/Business/Administration or relevant discipline, with specialization in project management required.
  • A minimum of seven years of experience managing projects in sustainable energy required.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English required.
