A procurement leader is responsible for creating and implementing effective procurement strategies to acquire goods and services efficiently and cost-effectively. This involves managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Strategy Development: Develop procurement strategies aligned with the organization's goals, considering factors like cost, quality, and risk.
  2. Supplier Relationship Management: Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage ongoing relationships to ensure quality and timely delivery.
  3. Cost Optimization: Analyze spending, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement strategies to optimize procurement costs while maintaining quality standards.
  4. Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions.
  5. Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of procurement professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
Requirements
  • Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable contract terms.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Leadership and Management Skills: Proven leadership and management skills to lead and motivate a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Relevant Degree: Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of end-to-end strategic procurement experience, with proven results in an international environment.

This role requires a strong understanding of procurement principles, excellent communication and leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
