">About the Role:

This is a senior leadership role that drives implementation and execution of supply chain strategic objectives. The Category Management and Strategic Sourcing Managers shall drive alignment with enterprise strategic objectives, create value-generating opportunities, and contribute to the competitive advantage of the organization.

The position will involve leading a team of category leads and strategic sourcing specialists in providing shared services. It will also be responsible for designing and executing business-wide category strategies that deliver value to the organization.

The selected candidate must have a proven track record of leading and executing category management and strategic sourcing initiatives. He/she should have at least 10 years of relevant experience in supply chain management, covering materials planning, category management, strategic sourcing, procurement operations, logistics, warehouse, and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement category management and strategic sourcing strategies that influence business decisions, reduce risk, and deliver value through total cost of ownership and operational excellence improvements.
  • Scan the category management and strategic sourcing environment to stay abreast of global best practices and trends, and synthesize knowledge to develop ideas for category strategy improvements.
  • Ensure effective integration between category management and other components of the supply chain such as contract management, tactical procurement/sourcing, logistics management, inventory, and warehouse management.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in any Engineering field or related disciplines; technical background with financial exposure is preferred.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in supply chain management, preferably in power plant-related fields.
  • Proven experience in leading and executing category management and strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • At least 3 years of leadership experience at a managerial level.
