Procurement Specialist Job Description

The procurement specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and supplies necessary for real estate projects. This position requires a strong understanding of procurement processes, vendor relationships, and industry dynamics.


Job Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business or related field.
  • Proven experience in procurement, preferably within the real estate or construction industry.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of supply chain management principles and best practices is an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities:
  • Material Procurement: Identify, source, and purchase construction materials, equipment, and supplies required for real estate projects, ensuring timely availability.
  • Vendor Management: Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and monitor vendor performance to secure the best terms and pricing.
  • Cost Management: Implement cost-effective strategies to optimize procurement processes, minimize expenses, and maximize profitability.
  • Quality Control: Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to ensure that purchased materials meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, track stock levels, and maintain accurate records to prevent shortages or overstocking.
