Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Procurement Specialist to support our indirect spending within a specific category or regional area.

About the Role:
  • Spearhead procurement activities in line with the company's Code of Ethics, procurement policies, and procedures.
  • Support APAC entities in their procurement process using the ERP system through purchase requisition validation, compliance checking, purchase order creation, releasing, and monitoring.
  • Perform purchase order changes/modifications, respond to inquiries from internal customers and suppliers regarding purchase order status, changes, or cancellations.
  • Follow up on deliveries of purchased items, samples required to resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries, and other supply problems.
  • Create and maintain process documentation for the procurement process.
  • Collaborate with the Team Leader and Operations Manager to establish the Business Continuity Plan of the Procurement team.
  • Implement process optimization to enhance working efficiency.
About You:
  • A graduate of any bachelor's degree.
  • Proficiency in Japanese language (verbal and written; at least N2 level is preferred).
  • Background in using Ariba and SAP system as a Buyer is preferred.
  • Ability to work dayshift (7am to 4pm) but should be open to extend depending on business needs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • 1-2 years' experience in procurement buyer role and knowledge, preferably from shared service center. Fresh graduates are also welcome to apply.
  • Good communication skills (oral and written), with analytical skills in English.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Quick learner, flexible, responsible, and result-oriented, with ability to work under pressure.
  • Resourceful, driven, proactive, and independent.
  • Willingness to take challenge and work in multicultural environment.
  • Ability to make important decisions and cope with pressure.
  • Sound planning and time management skills.
