
Chief Policy Administrator

This role ensures organizational preparedness by maintaining timely review cycles, coordinating compliance meetings, supporting policy development, and ensuring accurate report submissions.
The Policy and Compliance Specialist is responsible for:
- Organization-Wide Policy Governance
- Lead the curation of all policies and procedures across the organization.
- Maintain a comprehensive library of current policies and archived versions.
- Track and enforce review timelines to ensure timely updates and re-approvals.
- Ensure all policies reflect current practices and are compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
- Policy Development and Stakeholder Engagement
- Draft new policies based on leadership directives, operational goals, or changes in regulatory requirements.
- Distribute draft documents to stakeholders for feedback and incorporate suggested changes.
- Proactively follow up with team members or departments to ensure timely input.
- Prepare finalized documents for approval and publication in the official policy repository.
- Regulatory Reporting Oversight
- Coordinate with assigned departments to ensure timely submission of required documentation.
- Track submission status and ensure accuracy and completeness of report contents.
- Governance and Compliance Meetings
- Coordinate recurring meetings for compliance, quality assurance, performance improvement, and risk management.
- Create agendas, track attendance, document minutes, and follow up on action items.
- Policy Inquiry Response and Gap Resolution
- Provide accurate responses and guidance to staff regarding existing policies and procedures.
- Identify gaps in existing documentation and draft new policies or procedures as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (Master's preferred).
- 3–5 years of experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, or policy management within a healthcare or behavioral health organization.
- Familiarity with Joint Commission, Arizona DHS, and applicable labor and healthcare regulations.
- Strong technical writing, policy drafting, and document control skills.
- Ability to work independently and cross-functionally across HR, operations, and clinical teams.
- Proficient with cloud-based document systems, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and project tracking platforms.
- Experience in behavioral health or healthcare organizations with both outpatient and residential services.
- Understanding of HR policy development and labor law compliance.
- Ability to coordinate across departments to ensure consistency in policy language and compliance practices.
