As a paralegal professional, you will play a key role in supporting our legal operations.

Key responsibilities include managing insurance claims, coordinating with insurance brokers and assisting in litigation-related tasks. You will also handle state licensing processes for acquisitions and ensure regulatory compliance.

This is a remote opportunity offering the flexibility to work from home.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and monitor insurance claims and coordinate with insurance brokers on ongoing cases.
  • Assist in the management of lawsuits, including maintaining documentation, timelines and coordination with legal counsel.
  • Oversee the legal process related to state licensing for new or potential acquisitions, ensuring timely submissions and renewals.
  • Liaise with state agencies to ensure full compliance with licensing requirements.
  • Prepare and write clear concise summary reports and updates for ownership and executive leadership.
  • Maintain accurate records of legal matters, communications and compliance documents.
  • Support other legal and administrative tasks as required.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant in healthcare or senior living sector is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of insurance claims and litigation processes.
  • Familiarity with state licensing requirements and acquisition-related legal documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to produce clear professional summary reports and documentation for executive review.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems.
  • Experience with US insurance and state laws is desired.
  • Experience in employment law is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or Paralegal certification.
  • Experience working in multi-state environments or with regulatory agencies.
  • Understanding of healthcare or senior living regulatory environments.
