Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled technical professional to join our team as a Cloud Support Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer support and troubleshooting complex issues related to Canonical's portfolio of products.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints by researching and escalating issues
  • Work closely with customers to identify and resolve technical problems
  • Ownership of results: Ensure that each support case is handled according to our Service Level Agreement (SLA) with the highest possible customer satisfaction
  • Participate in a regular weekend working rotation
Requirements:
  • Professional written and spoken English with excellent presentation skills
  • Exceptional academic track record from high school and university
  • Undergraduate degree in a technical subject or a compelling narrative about your alternative chosen path
  • Track record of going above-and-beyond expectations to achieve outstanding results
  • Hands-on experience in supporting Linux systems including virtualization/cloud, containers, storage technologies, and networking
  • Cloud computing expertise in provisioning, monitoring, orchestration, etc.
  • Advanced troubleshooting experience with Linux integration, stack traces, logs, and OS/Application level bugs
  • Programming fundamentals in any language
  • Extensive Customer support experience prioritizing customer needs and communicating professionally
  • Ability to travel internationally twice a year for company events up to two weeks long
