Procurement Specialist Role

Sought after candidate will source, validate and negotiate goods and services employing best practices and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) to provide the optimal pricing, quality, delivery and payment method.

  • Provide recommendations through bid tabulation derived from RFP or RFQ from shortlisted suppliers to meet business requirements.
  • Award orders with selected suppliers by creating purchase orders or contracts in line with organizational requirements.
  • Assist in resolving disputes by providing required documentation for any discrepancies in purchase orders or contracts.
  • Ensure compliance by adhering to government regulations, company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures to mitigate risk in accordance to business ethics.
  • Provide required reports for assigned projects or commodities to help the organization make informed decisions by keeping the required tracker updated on a weekly basis or as need arises.
  • Assist in supplier review by submitting performance details as reference for providing feedback and recommendations.
  • Act as liaison between suppliers and involved departments to resolve procurement related issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology and/or Engineering.

Experience Requirements:

  • Preferably at least 1 year of working experience in procurement or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Use of procurement system in previous organization.
