Technical Product Manager

This is a dynamic role that involves owning the entire product lifecycle from start to finish. This includes developing product strategies, managing suppliers, providing technical support, and overseeing purchasing operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be the go-to expert on all product-related matters within the organization.
  • Support in technical scoping and assist with large or complex RFQs.
  • Develop training programs for internal teams and provide tools to make it easier to sell and support products.
  • Build and maintain spec sheets, documentation, and internal product resources.
Product Management
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of product listings.
  • Monitor performance, returns, and customer feedback.
  • Identify gaps and lead the addition of new products, working directly with suppliers to source OEM or private label items and collaborating with the team to market and launch them.
  • Forecast demand and ensure inventory levels meet business needs.
  • Place purchase orders, follow up with suppliers, and manage delivery timelines.
  • Track supplier performance, including costs, responsiveness, and quality.
  • Support inventory planning and purchasing adjustments with the operations team.
Documentation & Compliance
  • Review and manage CAD files, certifications, and compliance documentation.
  • Ensure product specs, listings, and supporting documents are always up-to-date and easy to understand.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience in product management, technical sales, engineering, or catalog operations.
  • Familiarity with flow control, automation, or mechanical components.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, BOMs, and spec sheets.
  • Comfortable speaking with manufacturers, suppliers, and customers.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and results-driven.
  • Willingness to take ownership of outcomes and be deeply involved in product development and support.
