The role of a Licensed Psychologist or Guidance Counselor is pivotal in fostering a safe and supportive work environment. This professional plays a crucial part in promoting psychological well-being, emotional resilience, and overall mental health within the workplace.

Main Responsibilities
  • Individual Support Sessions
  • This position entails conducting regular 1:1 support sessions to provide timely assistance for urgent wellbeing needs. Such sessions may be scheduled on-demand or on a monthly basis as required.
  • Additionally, this role involves providing same-day crisis intervention support whenever urgent situations arise.
  • The Licensed Psychologist or Guidance Counselor must incorporate stress-reduction techniques, coping strategies, and decision-making skills into these individual sessions.
  • Group Workshops
  • This professional will facilitate regular group workshops focusing on peer support in a secure environment to enhance healthy working relationships and social connections.
  • Sessions will be tailored based on team dynamics, feedback from supervisors, or insights gained by the wellbeing team.
  • Training & Development
  • The incumbent will deliver group training sessions covering topics such as onboarding, well-being, resiliency, and annual refresher training.
  • All training must be conducted within stipulated timeframes and formats provided by the organization.
  • Observation & Intervention
  • Daily floor walks ('walk and talks') during each shift will be conducted to observe team interactions and employee demeanor for signs of distress.
  • The Licensed Psychologist or Guidance Counselor must offer discreet and proactive intervention when necessary.
  • Monitoring & Communication
  • This role involves actively monitoring and responding to direct communications from individuals across designated platforms, including email and other communication tools.
  • A professional, supportive, and timely response protocol must be maintained.
  • Documentation & Data Entry
  • Attendance records and aggregate trends/topics must be accurately recorded in the organization's system of record within 24 hours of each session.
  • Session insights (excluding any clinical or personally identifiable information) must be entered using the organization's wellbeing tool in alignment with privacy and data protection policies.
  • Wellbeing Insights & Reporting
  • Trends and insights from sessions and observations during floor walks must be summarized using the organization's reporting tools.
  • This professional will contribute to regular team updates and meetings with relevant aggregated clinical themes emerging from individual and group sessions.
  • Scheduling & Availability
  • Time must be blocked for on-demand sessions, floor walks, and proactive engagement activities in alignment with shift schedules.
  • The Licensed Psychologist or Guidance Counselor must remain available and responsive for unscheduled support and crisis interventions as needed.
