Publishing Opportunity

As a Creative Content Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in bringing innovative ideas to life and ensuring the successful development and promotion of our titles. You will oversee book creation, collaborate with illustrators and ghostwriters, and provide support throughout the publishing process.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team as we strive to create engaging children's content. The ideal candidate will have experience in project coordination, editorial support, or a related field, with a strong understanding of children's publishing trends.

Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking a highly organized and communicative individual who can:

  • Assist in managing the development of children's books from concept to publication
  • Coordinate with illustrators, ghostwriters, and other freelancers
  • Monitor project timelines and ensure deadlines are met

Content Creation and Support:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing and providing feedback on drafts
  • Organizing and maintaining book-related files and documentation

Publishing Support:

You will also assist in:

  • Formatting and preparing manuscripts for publication
  • Researching best practices for self-publishing platforms (e.g., Amazon KDP)
  • Keeping track of royalties, sales, and promotional results as needed

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • At least 1 year experience in publishing, editorial support, or project coordination in a creative field (children's publishing is a plus)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Experience collaborating with creatives such as illustrators and writers
  • A proactive and problem-solving mindset
  • Candidates with familiarity with children's book content and trends will be preferred

Nice-to-Have:

If you have any of the following skills, it would be a bonus:

  • Knowledge of publishing platforms like KDP or IngramSpark
  • Experience with graphic design tools or basic book formatting
  • Background in marketing or social media promotion for creative products

Work Arrangements:

This role is suitable for individuals who can work independently in a remote environment. We operate Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 7:00 pm PST.
