**Job Title:** Technical Director

Key Responsibilities:
  • Spearhead the delivery of high-quality projects, ensuring timely completion and seamless integration with existing platforms.
  • Foster a deep understanding of team operations, streamlining processes across departments as needed.
  • Oversee escalations and resolutions, providing expert guidance to ensure optimal outcomes.

Accountability Structure:

  • Delegated responsibilities are shared among team members, with full accountability for project delivery in assigned areas.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive results.
  • Enforce adherence to IT service delivery lifecycle and governance frameworks.

Business Alignment:

  • Promote a thorough understanding of business unit strategic objectives.
  • Ensure portfolio roadmaps align with business strategy and enterprise architecture.
  • Assign suitable personnel to projects, guaranteeing proper support, scope validation, requirement development, and delivery ownership.
  • Manage escalations from business units and program investment planning teams.

Unit Leadership:

  • Take full accountability for the quality of deliverables produced by the team.
  • Plan and manage team capacity, ensuring sufficient staffing levels.
  • Maintain adequate competency among project and solution delivery managers, as well as other team members.
  • Optimize resource utilization across delivery teams.
  • Timely escalate issues to ensure swift resolution.
  • Provide oversight of vendors and solution providers engaged by the team, including their assigned resources.
  • Act as the point of escalation for delivery team leads and team members.
  • Implement necessary support for issue resolution and risk management.
  • Define competencies, provide training, and offer adequate experience and exposure to team members.
  • Conduct performance reviews for delivery managers and other team members.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree relevant to the job.
  • 15+ years of application delivery experience in financial services.
  • 10+ years of experience managing complex projects involving commercial off-the-shelf solutions, SaaS, or managed services.
  • Proven expertise in handling vendor and third-party system integrator engagements.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with front office, operations, risk, and IT teams.
  • Prior experience working for Big4, systems integrators, management consulting, or internal consulting roles in financial institutions is highly advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering projects in private banking & wealth management, trusts and asset management, securities trading, and treasury.
  • Familiarity with financial platforms like Avaloq, Temenos, Murex, Calypso, Bloomberg, or equivalent systems is a plus.
  • Knowledge of financial products such as UITFs/Mutual Funds, FX, bonds, securities.
  • Willingness to be assigned in Makati/Ortigas.
