Australian Payroll Specialist Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Australian Payroll Specialist to join our team at Australian Outsource Desk Inc. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation, including PAYG, superannuation, and award interpretation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Audit and process end-to-end payroll for Australian employees, including regular, bonus, and termination payments.
  • Ensure compliance with Australian payroll laws and regulations, including PAYG withholding, superannuation, and other statutory requirements.
  • Prepare and submit payroll reports, including Single Touch Payroll (STP) submissions, to the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).
  • Perform payroll reconciliations, ensuring that all payroll transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
  • Manage superannuation contributions, ensuring timely payments and compliance with the Superannuation Guarantee (SG) requirements.
  • Address payroll-related inquiries from employees, providing clear and accurate information.
  • Maintain and update payroll systems, ensuring data integrity and security.
  • Manage year-end payroll processes, including the preparation of payment summaries and reconciling payroll accounts.
