Business Development Manager

As a business development manager, you will spearhead the expansion of our reach and shift from B2C to B2B by targeting partnerships with colleges and universities in the USA and Canada. This role requires a strategic thinker who can navigate the complexities of the education sector, close high-value deals, and lay the foundation for long-term partnerships that will support our scaling efforts.


Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, target, and secure partnerships with colleges and universities, aligning our platform with their academic and administrative needs.
  • Conduct thorough market research to understand the specific challenges and needs of the education sector.
  • Develop tailored strategies for engaging with institutional clients, creating proposals, and presenting our value proposition to academic decision-makers.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to deal closure.
  • Present and pitch our platform to educational leaders, showcasing how it enhances student engagement and academic performance.
  • Negotiate terms, finalize contracts, and ensure a smooth handoff to the partnerships team for onboarding.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with universities, ensuring a deep understanding of their evolving needs.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or a related field (MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred).
  • 2+ years of experience in business development, sales, or partnerships, preferably within the education sector or EdTech.
