Job Overview

The Mergers and Acquisitions Research Lead is a key position responsible for driving the origination of acquisitions by identifying suitable targets for private equity clients.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Review and clean company lists to ensure they meet investment criteria, analyzing data to optimize results.
  • Conduct structured research and collaborate with data analysts to profile potential acquisition targets, utilizing their knowledge of the market.
  • Input and organize company and contact data in Airtable and spreadsheets, ensuring seamless integration and efficient workflow.
  • Use public databases, directories, and scraping tools to build prospect lists, leveraging available resources effectively.
  • Provide ad hoc research and administrative support, adapting to changing needs as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience preferred, demonstrating a solid foundation in relevant areas.
  • General understanding of the M&A landscape, including current trends and best practices.
  • Experience with Airtable CRM and data scraping tools, showcasing proficiency in utilizing technology.
  • Familiarity with sourcing tools, expanding the candidate's skill set and versatility.
  • Strong organization, communication, and analytical skills, essential for success in this role.
