Job Title: Freight Logistics Specialist

This role involves managing the end-to-end scheduling and coordination of freight deliveries between our third-party logistics (3PL) warehouses and retail partner locations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Pick-Up and Delivery Scheduling: Communicate with carriers, freight forwarders, 3PL warehouses, and retail partners to plan routing schedules based on time-sensitive pick-up and delivery appointments.
  • Exception Management: Monitor delivery progress, handle exceptions such as delays, missed pick-ups, failed deliveries, or damage claims, and communicate issues to internal stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.
  • Return Shipment Coordination: Coordinate reverse logistics from retail locations back to 3PL warehouses, ensure return shipments are properly labeled, documented, and tracked, and verify receipt and condition of returned goods.
  • Data Accuracy and Reporting: Maintain accurate shipment logs, track logistics KPIs such as on-time performance and issue resolution, prepare regular performance and exception reports, and audit freight invoices and delivery documentation.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for freight scheduling and delivery updates across internal teams and external partners, and maintain clear, timely, and consistent communication with store managers, warehouse contacts, and freight providers.

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in freight coordination, logistics, or supply chain support, ideally within a retail and/or 3PL environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple shipments and resolve issues concurrently.
  • Experience with ERP systems, TMS, WMS, or shipment tracking platforms, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets for tracking and reporting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, customer service orientation, and self-motivation with flexibility to manage different time zones.
