Logistics Operations Manager

About the Role

Expedock is a tech-driven venture that's reinventing the global shipping and supply chain industry. We're looking for a skilled logistics professional to join our team as a Freight Data Validator.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shipment Tracking and Management: Monitor and manage shipment levels across multiple locations to ensure timely arrival and departure.
  • Customs Documentation Coordination: Prepare and manage necessary customs documentation for international shipments.
  • Shipment Coordination: Oversee daily operations of shipments, ensuring they meet deadlines and customer requirements.
  • Carrier Management: Manage relationships with carriers, including rate negotiations and compliance with service agreements.
  • Compliance Management: Ensure all logistics activities comply with international trade regulations and company policies.

Requirements

  • Experience: Working in freight forwarding, shipping line, or brokerage firms, either locally or internationally.
  • Shipping Knowledge: Familiarity with shipping documents (BOLs, AWBs, PKLs, invoices, etc.).
  • Attention to Detail: Detail-oriented with experience in data entry and data validation tasks.
  • Technical Skills: Comfortable with modern software, technology, and computer systems.
  • Transport Management Systems: Familiarity with Transport Management Systems (TMS), especially Cargowise or Magaya.
  • Qualifications: Graduate of Customs Administration or similar degree program, licensed customs broker.
  • Communication: Ability to effectively communicate ideas clearly and concisely in English, both in speaking and writing (C1).

Remote Work Requirements

To work remotely, you must provide and support your own computer hardware, software, and internet. The minimum technical requirements are:

  • PC Hardware: Windows operating system with ≥ 8GB RAM.
  • Internet Service: Minimum speed of 25 mbps.
  • Available HDD Space: 50 GB.
  • Microsoft Suite: Excel, Word, and Powerpoint.
