Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to fill the role of Patient Financial Outreach Representative.

This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with strong communication skills and a passion for ensuring patients understand their financial responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will be able to work collaboratively within a healthcare team, provide clear explanations of billing statements, and assist with setting up payment plans when needed.

The successful applicant will have excellent organizational skills, accuracy, and time management abilities, as well as the ability to manage sensitive patient information with integrity.

Responsibilities
  • Proactively reach out to patients to review co-pays, balances, and payment options.
  • Provide clear explanations of billing statements and assist with setting up payment plans when needed.
  • Accurately document all patient interactions, financial discussions, and related information in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system to maintain a clear and consistent record.
  • Work closely with intake, clinical, and billing teams to ensure accurate information flow.
  • Escalate complex patient or insurance issues for resolution.
Requirements

Required

  • Prior experience in medical billing, insurance verification, or healthcare accounts receivable.
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
  • Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and time management.
  • Ability to manage sensitive patient information with integrity.
  • Comfortable using billing software, EHR systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Reliable attendance and adherence to scheduled work hours.

Preferred

  • Experience in the Durable Medical Equipment (DME) industry.
  • Knowledge of CPT and HCPCS coding.
  • Familiarity with denial management and appeals processes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Customer service mindset with empathy and professionalism.
