Financial Manager Opportunity

This role requires a highly skilled professional to oversee financial accounting and transaction processing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the month-end close process, ensuring adherence to the timeline and checklist. They will review final profit & loss (P&L) scrub and approve journal entries prepared by staff.

The successful candidate will also ensure the accuracy of the balance sheet workbook, including spot-checking source document filing. They will review and update financial notes, charts, graphs, and footnotes to ensure alignment with KPIs and executive summaries.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead budgeting and forecasting efforts for real estate projects, including capital expenditures and operating costs.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support cost-saving initiatives and revenue growth.
  • Update and maintain cash flow forecasts regularly.
  • Prepare and submit sales tax returns with controller approval.
  • Coordinate, review, and submit annual 1099s.
  • Support the preparation and submission of personal property tax filings, reviewed by the controller.
  • Calculate monthly sales tax payments and submit them for controller review and remittance.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of accounting experience in financial close, variance analysis, and payroll processing.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Advanced Excel skills (complex formulas, data structuring, and financial modeling).
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving mindset.
  • Familiarity with US GAAP and accounting best practices is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a remote team.
  • Working hours are flexible.
